Overview

This project aims to create a favorable environment for policy and forest law implementation and assist the managers of the Maasai Mau Forest, including local communities, make a transition from unsustainable land husbandry practices to sustainable management. This project further seeks to increase the participation of women in the management on Mau Forest Complex through research. As such, ICRAF, through The African Women in Agriculture Research and Development and together with UNEP will seek to provide mentoring, capacity building in science and leadership in development to two outstanding women.
