The general objectives of this project are to:
1. Quantify the economic potential of biomass resources to profuce biochar and biofuel via pyrolysis in Western Kenya
2. Evaluate and identify markets for fuel and biochar as well as ownership and management options for pyrolysis processing
3. Assess adoption and growth in biomass, biochar and biofuel production
4. Coordinate field work of all project partners in Kenya and provide infrastructure to successfully implement the collaborative project
