Improved screening protocols for drought tolerance under screenhouse and confined field conditions are being developed. Our goal is to evaluate transgenic technology in upland rice, and to select superior lines under both normal and drought conditions. A Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) manual was also prepared and put into practice.
