Overview

The overall goal of this project is to contribute towards poverty alleviation, food security, improved nutrition and better resource management through market oriented organic agriculture. The project aims to empower farmers in selected communities (with emphasis on gender and marginalized groups) and other key stakeholders to identify market opportunities, develop sustainable community-based agro-enterprises, and better manage their natural resources at farmer association level within sub-counties. This will be accomplished through effective partnerships with research and development organizations and the private sector. This will lead to increased and sustained productivity, and incomes of rural communities in the selected sites through linkages of the agroenterprises to natural resource management.

  1. You say “Published 9 September 2010″ and yet I do not find the paper, only the Overview. If I have to pay per view, I can’t afford it. By the way, I am the Editor in Chief of a soon-to-come-out magazine in organic agriculture in the Philippines.
