Overview

To assess the impact of the EU Action Plan for Forest Law, Enforcement Governance and Trade (FLEGT). This will be achieved by analysing commodity chains to strengthen the empirical basis for FLEGT-VPA actions in Cameroon and later in Gabon; undertaking an analysis of illegal timber flows and its effect on livelihoods and ecosystems; and providing evidence-based recommendations to reduce illegal logging in Cameroon and Gabon, with due consideration to rural livelihoods and related ecosystems.
