AgroSalud research partners work in 14 Latin American and Caribbean countries in the development, evaluation, dissemination and promotion of biofortified crops and food products.
The ultimate goal of this project is to improve the nutritional status of the rural and urban poor, particularly children and lactating women, in target regions of Latin America. To achieve this, agronomic superior, micronutrient-dense beans and rice, Quality Protein Maize (QPM), and high vitamin A cassava and sweet-potato will be developed and deployed.
