Overview

The overall objective of the study is to contribute to increasing water and nutrient use efficiencies in production of maize in the Shire Valley through improved management of irrigation water, improved understanding of the interaction between nutrient and water use efficiency, and application of both conventional and isotopic techniques to partition transpiration and evaporation.
