Overview

This project aims to accomplish the following: 

Develop a sector model for Syrian Agriculture (Agro-Syria Model)
• Apply the developed model for analysis of selected policy scenarios
In achieving these objectives ICARDA will invite the relevant experts from the University of Naples, Italy to participate in the various research activities and cover their costs.Conduct a study on agricultural risk management utilizing the outcomes of
the following side studies:
– Study on the rural funding institutions
– Study on the institutions working in the rural areas in Syria and their role in development
– Study on the social security network
