The main purpose of this project is to enhance uptake and scaling up of knowledge and technologies for soil fertility management to sustained productivity and competitiveness of smallholder farming systems in East and Central Africa (ECA) sub-region.There are barriers to the effective adoption/adaptation and utilization of sound soil and water management technologies. The project team therefore sets out to develop methodologies for resolving these barriers by developing mechanisms of sharing relevant information on promising soil and water management technologies with all stakeholders. Kenyatta University is the Lead institution in the project and the project activities are coordinated and backstopped by the African Network for Soil Biology and Fertility(AFNET).
